This page describes the behavior implemented in the current Scrap Value Calc application.
Calculator inputs
Calculator values are entered in the browser and used to calculate the displayed estimate. The current application does not use localStorage or sessionStorage, and it does not provide a user account or persistent server-side calculator record.
Query parameters
Some calculator result states can be represented in the page URL with parameters such as mode, weight, quantity, itemWeight, unit, price or target. This allows a result state to be revisited or shared. Reset removes the calculator query state. Do not put sensitive information into a calculator URL.
Cookies and analytics
The site uses Microsoft Clarity and Google Analytics to understand website usage, performance and visitor interactions. These services may set cookies or collect usage and device information according to their own privacy policies. Do not enter sensitive personal information into calculator fields or shared calculator URLs.
External requests and links
The site sends requests to the analytics providers listed above and links to source records hosted by their publishers. Following an external link sends the request to that publisher and subjects you to its privacy policy. The calculator pages do not intentionally send calculator input values to source publishers.
Hosting and changes
The application is designed to run on a web host and may produce ordinary operational request data such as logs, security signals or error records. The exact retention and processing of hosting logs depends on the active production provider. This page may be updated when analytics, cookies, advertising or other data practices change.
